Final Fantasy IX Characters

Zidane Tribal	You don't need a reason to help people
	Zidane is a master thief in the Tantalus Theater group. Everyone in the group holds Zidane with some deal of respect, and the leader sees him more as a son than a member. It is only when they are sent to kidnap the princess of Alexandria, that Zidane's world is thrown into chaos.

Princess Garnet/Dagger

Someday I will be queen, but I will always be myself

Princess Garnet Til Alexandros the 17th, or Dagger as she is commonly known by, is the heir to the throne of Alexandria. She has dreams of a small child fleeing, that seem to bother her. As a child, she learned she would eventually be able to summon Eidolon's, that sleep within her. When the Theater Ship comes to Alexandria, she decides to flee the palace. To her surprise, she learns that they are actually there to kidnap her. While on the run, she decides she wants to see the world, and assumes the name Dagger. She wishes only to learn about her summoning ability, and why her mother has grown so greedy and spiteful.

Vivi Orunitia	How do you prove that you exist? Maybe we don't exist...
	Vivi is rather small for a black mage, who has no memory of his past, or how he came to be. He is set on learning the nature of the world, the emotions found in it, and why he was brought to it. He quickly befriends the party, when Zidane asks him to join.

Albert Steiner	Having sworn fealty, must I spend my life in servitude?
	Steiner is the mighty captain of the fool-hardy Knights of Pluto. Though his regiment is the laughing stock of the palace, he has sworn to protect the queen, and more importantly Garnet. This oath he takes very seriously...perhaps too seriously.

Freya Crescent	To be forgotten is worse than death
	Freya was once a proud Dragon Knight of the kingdom of Burmecia. But she abandoned everything to seek out her lost love. She meets up with Zidane at the Festival of the Hunt in Lindblum. Hearing about the tragedies befalling the world, she decides to join the party.

Quina Quen	I do what I want! You have problem?
	Quina is the oddest thing you will ever come across. It is a Qu, which live inside the Qu Marshes of the world. It has a very primitive dialect, though you can understand it. But above anything else, it loves to eat...anything! It might even try to eat a party member once or twice.

Eiko Carol	I don't want to be alone anymore...
	Eiko, to her knowledge, is the last of the tribe of summoners. She now lives alone with her moogles in Madain Sari. When she meets Zidane, she zeros in on him as a prospective boyfriend. Her desire for Zidane, along with Dagger's interest in summoners makes Eiko willing to go with the party.

Amarant Coral	The only dependable thing about the future, is uncertainty
	A bounty hunter hired to stop the party, Amarant is beaten by Zidane in Madain Sari. Seeing the power Zidane has, Amarant agrees to help in the mission. His attitude makes him seem hostile, and he ignores the rest of the party. There is a lot of mystery between him, and his competitiveness with Zidane.
